Waiting For the Wind

If you would like to seek the heaven, it is here;
If you seek passion, the saffron sun hides it.

SKETCHISM

For me sketching is meditation. I enjoy its freedom of expression. Its just like floating along in water. With an occasional ripple here and there.

7 SECRETS

The block  is gone and now I am at ease with the tools.

When I started working on it I was wandering and wondering...The glazing effects are quite exciting..

I named it THE MOONLIT SECRET..

AN UNTOLD JOURNEY

The most unforgettable journey
 MANALI-LEH

My route map

DAY 1
7.00AM
MANALI

It started from the beautiful valley of  Manali. The green scenery and ultra fresh air was simply magical. This is a  heard of sheeps that blocked our way. Its like the beginning of a country story. The shepherd and the dog.....

 DAY 1
9.00AM
ROHTANG PASS

Have a long way to go, but can take a break before it gets tough..At the dhabba..
DAY 1
9.00AM
ROHTANG VALLEY

The country women of Rohtang valley. They were so nice to let me take a snap.

Spectacular view from the seat of the gypsy.  This time its mountain goat. Hey look at the clouds..Its visible now.
Snow clad mountains. That's where we have to head.

Its getting dark. The donkeys back from work. Yes , on these route this might be the last trace of any civilisation.

The paradise...literally. A cozy place with warm smiles and hot food. We were served with rice and omlette. And it was a candle light dinner. The motel rooms were underground with mud flooring.
Amazing view at the day break. It felt spellbound.

Midway relief with hot maggi and tea.

DAY 2

Its my vehicle. The terrain has dramatically changed. Now its barren plain land till the horizon. Everything dry and dust. No trace of any human inhabitants other than the himang road workers.

The Paradise .....

Purest form of water. The Chandrabhaga river. Its said Chandra and Bhaga are twin sisters. Anyway these sisters are a gentle breeze in the harsh hounded land. There were traces of some recent land slides too.

The road that we covered, a view from the top. From these point the army trucks were often visible like small ants in a line.

DAY 2

Almost near the destination..Time for mountain sickness...

Sky is the limit.....

DAY 2

Final Destination _Karu base camp.
